ABOUT ME
My story.
I’m Ricardo de la Vega — a multidisciplinary product designer specializing in luxury watches and high jewellery. Over the past two years, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most respected names in Swiss watchmaking.
I had the privilege of undertaking an internship at Jaeger-LeCoultre, where I worked closely with Lionel Favre, the Product Design Director. During this time, I contributed to multiple projects that were successfully presented to and approved by the Richemont board. This collaboration offered profound insights into the brand’s DNA, allowing me to gain a deeper appreciation for the precision and artistry required in each creation. It also reinforced the importance of pushing creative boundaries while staying true to Jaeger-LeCoultre's identity.
More recently, I’ve worked independently with private clients and boutique brands across Europe, designing bespoke timepieces and jewellery. From early trend research to final prototypes, I manage the full creative process with technical precision and emotional storytelling. My training at the Creative Academy (Richemont Group) gave me further hands-on experience with maisons like Buccellati and Panerai, helping me refine my design language within the codes of high-end heritage brands.
Earlier in my career, I explored design across other luxury sectors — including automotive interiors at VUHL and creative direction for a Swiss wine label — experiences that continue to inform my approach to materials, craftsmanship, and user connection.
Today, I design with intention: to create pieces that are emotionally resonant, technically refined, and culturally timeless.
